18. Outlander

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I decided to read this book after seeing all of the rave reviews on the message board. I love time travel books, and this seems to be right up my alley. I requested the book from the library & it showed up Saturday. Initially, all I can say is - WOW, this is a monster book @ 898 pages.

Started: 2/27/07
Finished: 3/11/07

Wow . . . This turned out to be a very good book. It started a little slow, but I couldn't put the book down towards the end. I ended up reading the last half of the book Sunday while watching the Cup Race & Golf. I'm requesting the 2nd book in the series from the library. I can't wait to see what happens next.

17. Star Of The Morning

Star Of The Morning by Lynn Kurland

Started: 2/25/07
Finished: 2/26/07

This book appears to be the first in a series based in "The Nine Kingdoms". I really enjoyed the book. It was a fast read. Really strong characters were introduced in this book. It'll be interesting to see how this series plays out.

16. Most Likely To Die

Most Likely To Die by Lisa Jackson, Beverly Barton, & Wendy Straub

Started: 2/19/07
Finished: 2/24/07

This was a pretty good book. I like the different authors collaborating on this book. The down side is, I've read so many Lisa Jackson books - that I had the "who did it" figured out in the first section. It was pretty interesting to read the book though to see how they explained the why though. Even though it was pretty predicitable though.

13. Black Rose

Black Rose by Nora Roberts

2nd book in the series In The Garden.

Started: 2/10/07
Finished: 2/12/07

I loved this book. Roz & Mitch make a great couple. Stella & Logan got married. I can't wait to read the final book in this series. I love Hayley, and can't wait to see her and Harper get together . . . finally!

12. Blue Dahlia

Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts

1st book (of 3) in the series In The Garden.

What can I say . . . the story has a ghost in it. I really enjoyed this book. I'm not much of a gardner, but I love the nursery setting of these stories.

Strong female characters w/ men who know how to handle them.

11. Knitting: A Novel

Knitting: A Novel by Anne Bartlett

This was an unexpected pick. I thought I was getting a knitting pattern book from the library. I was surprised it was a novel (:A Novel was missing from the book title when I requested it from the library). It was an okay book. I'm glad I read it.

10. West of Bliss

West of Bliss by Suzann Ledbetter

Final book of the series. I enjoyed the book, but was a little let down by the ending.

9. North of Clever

North of Clever by Suzann Ledbetter

Great book!

8. South of Sanity

South of Sanity by Suzann Ledbetter

I had to wait a while for this book to get here to read. It was worth the wait though. Such fun books!

7. Dark Desire

Dark Desire by Christine Feehan

2nd book in the series. This one revolves around the prince's brother.

6. Swept Away

Swept Away by Marsha Canham

This was a pretty good book based around the time Napolean escaped Elba. This is another author I'll probably read again.

5. The Bride and The Beast

The Bride and The Beast by Teresa Medeiros

This was a pretty good book. It had me looking for other books by this author to read.

4. Once A Knight

Once A Knight by Christina Dodd

This was a pretty entertaining story.

3. Dark Prince

Dark Prince by Christine Feehan

My sister gave me a copy, via Mom, of Dark Demon and I fell in love with the series. I'm in the process of reading them all start to finish, as seeing I read the last one (at the time) first.

Dark Prince is the 1st book in the series. The story revolves around the Prince of the Carpathians. Great story!

2. Unconquered

Unconquered by Hannah Howell

I absolutely love this author. Another really good story.

1. East Of Peculiar

Since I'm starting this blog a month into 2007, I'm going to post what I've read so far, then post as I read them from here on out.

East Of Peculiar by Suzann Ledbetter

I read this in early January.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually laughed out loud quite a bit throught this book. I liked it so much, I ordered the other 3 books in this series.
