Twilight (*Audio CD)

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Start: 8/27/07
Finish: 8/30/07

After reading a post by Poor Miss Finch, I decided to check this out asap. Any book that can lure a non-reader into a weekend of non-stop reading is something to check out. Vampires . . . well, that sealed the deal.

This was a wonderful story. I've got requests in for the next to books at the library . . . 2nd on the list.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (*Audio CD)

62. Peach Cobbler Murder

by Joanne Fluke

Start: 8/17/07
Finish: 8/19/07

This was probably the best one in the series so far. Lots of drama . . . a GREAT cliff hanger!!

61. Sugar Cookie Murder

Sugar Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke

Start: 8/16/07
Finish: 8/17/07

Another great story, but it was a pretty quick read. Half the book was recipes.

I might just have to buy this book. There's over 50 recipes in this book . . . all of them look pretty good too!

Countdown (*Audio CD)

Countdown by Iris Johansen

Start: 8/15/07
Finish: 8/16/07

This book answered a lot of questions I had on the previous books I've read.

I really hate reading/listening to them out of order.

Deception Point (*Audio CD)

Deception Point by Dan Brown
Another very good story by Dan Brown.
It had quite a few surprising twists to the story that kept me on my toes.

60. Absolute Fear

Absolute Fear by Lisa Jackson

This is a sequel to Shiver.

Very good book. Detectives Bentz & Montoya are back in New Orleans . . . and back to Our Lady of Virtues Hospital.

Creepy and suspenseful. And the ending . . . she set it up for another great book!

Start: 8/13/07
Finish: 8/16/07

From Potter's Field (*Audio CD)

From Potter's Field by Patricia Cornwell

This is the book that follows The Body Farm it was much easier to follow the characters this time around reading them in order.

I've already ordered Postmortem and Body of Evidence from the library. It'll be interesting listening to these characters I've already met.

The Body Farm (*Audio CD)

The Body Farm by Patricia Cornwell

Start/Finish: 8/12/07

This was a pretty good story. I still have to read/listen to her earlier books, as once again the characters are all familiar to each other from past books that leave a new reader a little confused at times.

59. Hot Blooded

Hot Blooded Anthology

This was a VERY steamy book. All four stories were very good.

I really liked the last story, which involved vampires, but not in the "traditional" sense of the word. Very "otherworldly", and a unique twist.

Blow Fly (*Audio CD)

Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell

I really enjoyed this story, but was slightly lost with all the charater history from previous books. Looks like I'll have to go back and read/listen to them in order.

58. The Scarletti Curse

The Scarletti Curse by Christine Feehan

Start: 8/3/07
Finish: 8/5/07

I got this book from Lake County Library. It's sort of a stand alone book. It was a pretty good story. I just love the trip Feehan takes her readers on.

57. Back to the Bedroom

Back to the Bedroom by Janet Evanovich

Start: 8/1/07
Finish: 8/2/07

This was a quick, fun read. Not as endearing as Smitten or Rocky Road to Romance, but just as fun.

Firestorm (*Audio CD)

Firestorm by Iris Johansen

Start: 7/30/07
Finish: 8/1/07

Another great suspense story by this author!

56. Fudge Cupcake Murder

Fudge Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke

Start: 7/28/07
Finish: 7/31/07

Another great sleuthing book. This one was a little easier to figure out the "who dunnit", but it was still a great story.

I love how Hannah's love interests keeps getting more complicated. It'll be interesting to see how her relationships with Norman & Mike turn out.
