This is the first book in the Eve Duncan series. I've listened to several out of order, and decided to request the first book. Unfortuantely, the library doesn't carry the audiobook. I'm finding I prefer to listen to these in lieu of reading them. I'm having a hard time finishing this book.

A lot of if has to do with the holidays though. There's only so much time in a day, and I've got a lot to do in a short amount of time. If I don't finish this before our trip, I'll have to re-request it later, as I've already renewed it once.

I seem to be all over the place with her books. It seems I'm reading them in backwards order.

It can be a little confusing with the different character interactions throughout her books. Thankfully, there were cross-over characters, but limited interaction with the primary characters.

This was an okay story. I like the story line, but the characters were a little one-dimensional. I like strong female characters, but Sophie was just a little bit annoying. I liked Royd, but it would've been better if the author actually used his first name (Matt) a little more often.

This turned out to be an abridged audio cd. I prefer the unabridged, but this was still a pretty suspenseful story.

I've developed a bad habit of listening to a series backwards. This is the book that came out BEFORE Stalemate. This is another Eve Duncan / Joe Quinn book, but this book strongly features Eve's adopted daughter Jane.

When I checked this out, I wasn't aware that this was a pretty new book. I haven't read any of the other Eve Duncan books, but I'll definitely be tracking down the previous books.

This was a very interesting story. I finally finished it on the flight back home Monday.
