55. Three To Get Deadly

Three To Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich

Start: 7/25/07
Finish: 7/28/07

This is the first one I've actually read in this series. I've been listening to the audio versions. Stephanie is very entertaining.

Demon Rumm (*Audio CD)

Demon Rumm by Sandra Brown

This one was a little steamier than what I've been reading lately. It turned out to be a pretty good story once I got used to the steamy-ness.

Daddy's Girl (*Audio CD)

Daddy's Girl by Lisa Scottoline
Start: 7/23/07
Finish: 7/25/07
I've read a few of books by this author. She is a VERY GOOD mystery author.
In this story . . . I thought I'd had it figured out - then, wham! Total curve ball . . . but totally believeable.
Great story!

54. Deathly Hallows

Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling

Start/Finish: 7/21/07

Wow . . . what a finish.

I sat down to start reading this at 2:00 pm . . . I closed the book on the last page at 3:48 am. The only break I took involved throwing a couple of frozen pizzas in the oven and eating dinner.

No One To Trust (*Audio CD)

No One To Trust by Iris Johansen

53. High Noon

High Noon by Nora Roberts

Start: 7/16/07
Finish: 7/19/07

Another great book from Nora Roberts.

52. Lemon Meringue Pie Murder

Lemon Meringue Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke

Start: 7/10/07
Finish: 7/15/07

This is such a great series. Definitely not diet friendly, but I keep coming back for more.

Killer Dreams (*Audio CD)

Killer Dreams by Iris Johansen
Narrator: Jennifer Van Dyck

Start: 7/5/07
Finish: 7/12/07

I seem to be all over the place with her books. It seems I'm reading them in backwards order.

It can be a little confusing with the different character interactions throughout her books. Thankfully, there were cross-over characters, but limited interaction with the primary characters.

This was an okay story. I like the story line, but the characters were a little one-dimensional. I like strong female characters, but Sophie was just a little bit annoying. I liked Royd, but it would've been better if the author actually used his first name (Matt) a little more often.

51. Plum Lovin'

Plum Lovin' by Janet Evanovich

Start: 7/8/07
Finish: 7/9/07

Cute, fun read. I've only listened to the 1st Stephanie Plum book, so I was a little confused about some character interaction. Overall, a great "in-between" story.

50. The Wicked and the Wonderous

The Wicked and the Wonderous by Christine Feehan

Start/Finish: 7/7/07

I read the 2nd story in this book, as I've read Twlight Before Christmas already.

I really enjoyed Jessica & Dillon's story. Just enough intrigue to keep the story moving at a nice pace.

49. Blueberry Muffin Murder

Blueberry Muffin Murder by Joanne Fluke

Start: 7/5/07
Finish: 7/6/07

This series keeps getting better & better. The recipes are still torture, but I really enjoy this series.

Blind Alley (*Audio CD)

Blind Alley by Iris Johansen

Start: 7/2/07
Finish: 7/3/07

This turned out to be an abridged audio cd. I prefer the unabridged, but this was still a pretty suspenseful story.

I've developed a bad habit of listening to a series backwards. This is the book that came out BEFORE Stalemate. This is another Eve Duncan / Joe Quinn book, but this book strongly features Eve's adopted daughter Jane.

48. Dead Until Dark

Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris

Start: 7/2/07
Finish: 7/4/07

This is a great book. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the next one. Vampires . . . as a minority? Vampires are trying to mainstream, as the government has classified their condition as a "disability". This is a unique take on a vampire story. Very well written.

Thanksgiving (*Audio CD)

Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich

Start: 6/28/07
Finish: 7/1/07

Another great book by Evanovich. This one was just as comical as Smitten. It was a little predictable, but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story!

*I'm not including audio CD's for my tally count. Just noting for future reference Audio CD's I've listened to.

47. Halfway to Half Way

Halfway to Half Way by Suzann Ledbetter

Start: 6/30/07
Finish: 7/1/07

I started this on Saturday morning, as I've been too tired to actually read for most of the week. This was a wonderful addition to her series. Another murder to solve, a cold case file, the sheriff election, and a wedding . . . Great book!

Smitten (*Audio CD)

Smitten by Janet Evanovich

Start: 6/26/07
Finish: 6/28/07

This was a very cute story. Newly divorced Elisabeth walks in for a carpenter job where Matt ends up hiring her.

Very funny and highly entertaining. Great story with lots of laughs. Especially with the mysterious flasher stalking Elisabeth.

*I'm not including audio CD's for my tally count. Just noting for future reference Audio CD's I've listened to.
